Master Tarpaulin Folding and Usage: Essential Tips Inside
Are You Really Familiar with the Folding and Usage Requirements of Tarpaulins?
Small Tips
a) Spread the tarpaulin flat with the front side facing up, leaving two side ropes free. Fold both sides along the length direction toward the centerline of the tarpaulin.
b) Divide the two folded sides into three equal parts each, and fold them toward the centerline twice consecutively.
c) Fold both sides along the width direction toward the transverse centerline of the tarpaulin, and fold each side toward the center three times consecutively. Firmly press the folds.
d) Use the reserved ropes to bundle the folded tarpaulin. Tie the ropes in a cross pattern on both sides, ensuring they are tight and secure. Tuck the rope ends properly. The bundle should not be loose, and the knots should not come undone. Do not drag the tarpaulin.
e) After folding, the small road emblem and tarpaulin number on the tarpaulin should be fully and clearly visible.

Usage Requirements
a) Only applicable to open-top cars. One tarpaulin should be used to cover one vehicle.
b) The tarpaulin should be spread flat with no cargo exposed. The top should form a ridge, the ends should closely wrap around corners, and the sides should have smooth lines. No part should exceed dimensional limits.
c) Ropes should be tied and fastened at the correct positions. Knots should be secure, without looseness or detachment. Ropes tied to T-shaped iron fixtures should form butterfly-wing knots, with rope ends between 100–300 mm in length.
d) The canvas covering the end plate of the truck handbrake should extend downward by no more than 500mm. The handbrake disc must remain exposed to ensure proper operation of both the disc and the lifting lever.
e) The height of the tarpaulin on both sides of the vehicle should be even, and the vehicle number should remain visible.
